City’s Mobile Office kicks off 2026 with visits to Belhar and Mfuleni

23 January 2026

The City of Cape Town’s Mobile Office is heading to Belhar and Mfuleni next week to bring essential municipal services directly to residents' doorsteps. The mobile unit will be stationed at the Belhar Chambers on Thursday, 29 January 2026, followed by a Basket of Services visit at the Mfuleni Community Hall on Friday, 30 January 2026. Residents are encouraged to skip the commute and visit the Mobile Office to resolve account queries and access City services.

The details are as follows:

  • Thursday, 29 January 2026, from 09:30 to 13:30 at Belhar Chambers, Cnr of Alabama & Belhar Drive, Belhar (next to the Hugenot Square Public Library)
  • Friday, 30 January 2026, from 09:00 to 15:00 at the Mfuleni Community Hall, School Street, Mfuleni

The City’s Customer Relations Department’s mobile team will assist residents with logging queries and service requests electronically.

The Basket of Services offering in Mfuleni will see several City departments present their services and will assist residents with enquiries or concerns around:

  • Human Resources for enquiries about bursaries, internships, and apprenticeships
  • Community, Arts and Culture Development to find out how you can get involved
  • Business Hub and Jobs Connect
  • Customer Relations
  • Energy for meter related issues, billing issues and account concerns
  • Health to find out more about primary health care services
  • Safety and Security for information about traffic and law enforcement services
  • EPWP and jobseekers to give unemployed youth an opportunity to register on jobseekers’ database to make them eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities.

‘As a caring City, I am pleased to announce the start of our city-wide tour to bring the Civic Centre directly to our communities. These mobile office and Basket of Services’ visits bring essential municipal support to residents' doorsteps. This is a great opportunity for residents to resolve their non-emergency enquiries; including rates, water, electricity and refuse accounts in the comfort of their own neighborhoods. To ensure a seamless experience, we encourage residents to bring along their IDs or municipal accounts to ensure our teams can assist them with ease,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
